Donate to the OSQAs OSQ musicians, not only are we privileged to practice an art form that raises awareness and communicates like no other art form, but we are also privileged to be able to touch people with our music, if only for a brief period of time. And it is because of the Orchestre symphonique de Québec that we, its 66 male and female musicians, are able to experience these special moments with you, our audience, season after season. The OSQ is a 100 year-old organization that presents over 50 concerts during the regular season in addition to countless other musical performances across Québec. The OSQ goes on tour in and around Québec City and has an educational program for young people. It brings world-scale visibility through such major recordings and projects as Mahler’s “Symphony of A Thousand” under the direction of our beloved Maestro, Yoav Talmi, and Plàcido Domingo’s last concert on the Plains of Abraham. As part of the Orchestra’s mission to make symphonic works accessible to as many people as possible, it significantly contributes to Quebec City’s economic development by creating employment for some 300 musical artists and artisans. Our most fervent desire as musical professionals is to keep sharing the passion that burns within us and enriches our lives. We want the Orchestra to continue being a major part of our heritage and to continue playing a pivotal role in promoting the culture of our region, even in tough economic times. And so, as the spokesperson of the OSQ’s annual fundraising campaign, I would once again call on your generosity and invite you to make a donation, be it large or small. Every dollar you donate enables Quebec City’s most powerful cultural engine to fulfil its mission and helps OSQ musicians to fulfil their mission of sharing a moving musical experience with you. ![]() Darren Lowe, Solo Violinist of the OSQ Spokesperson of the OSQ’s annual fundraising campaign Your personal informations |
